Thank you, Carl. -J
Thank you. Two words, eight letters. But why, why am I using them? Well, I’m thankful to you, that’s why. You walked into my life a year and four months ago to the day. We became best friends within the span of a week at camp. You looked after me, made sure I was safe.
Thank you for making the first move. When you said that one sentence the first day of camp, I knew that was the start of us. A beginning to what would and will last forever.
Thank you for your hugs. Have I ever told you that you give the most amazing hugs? Well, I tell a lot of people about how amazing your hugs are. The first hug we shared was in the hug line, you did one of those hugs where you picked me up just high enough so my feet were off the ground. The best hugs we’ve shared however, were at the altar call when you came right to me and pulled me tight for a hug as well as the night when you visited at camp, we hugged and said we loved each other for the first time.
Thank you for making me smile and laugh until I cry. Your jokes, or attempts at them. They make me laugh and smile. You tickle and taze me until you see that I have a huge smile on my face. Just the thought of you makes me smile, somehow you’ve found your way into my heart.
Thank you for your love. There are so many ways to tell or show someone that you love them, you’ve shown me every possible way. Hugs, kisses, hand-holding, smiling at me, you’ve done it all. You always ask if I had a good day and to me, that’s another way of saying that you love me. Whenever I’m down or I feel like I’m sinking, you’re the one to make me feel better.
Thank you for embracing who I am. I’m weird, odd, and quirky. You don’t seem to care. You love me for me. You enjoy being around the “real” me, as you would say. You embrace the fact that I am different. It means the world to me.
Thank you for being my rock. You helped me. You are the one I can talk to about anything and everything. Your opinion and how you see me doesn’t change, despite what I say or do. I know this is a little much, but you saved me. You made sure that I wasn’t going to do anything that I was going to regret. You take on all of my struggles and make them your own.
Thank you for being so trustworthy. I’m just going to come right out and say it; I trust you with my life. You’re the only one I can trust that much. You keep things I tell you to yourself, and you tell me everything. I can trust you, and I always will.
Finally, thank you for being my best friend. Yeah, you’re my best friend. I only have one and that’s you. It’s pretty self-explainable, who wouldn’t want you as their best friend? We always have so much fun together, it’ll never end. We can talk about anything and be comfortable with it. Thank you.
Don’t ever forget, we’re the “Greatest Love Story” and we’re never giving up.
I’m thankful for you, you mean the world to me.
I love you.
Love, your girl.
